Sahel Électronique innovates at the intersection
of agriculture and solar energy
We help rural producers locally transform their agricultural
products using solar-powered multifunction mills
Solar-Powered
Agricultural Processing
Founded in 2015 with zero capital, right after higher education studies in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, Sahel Électronique was created to solve the problems of Nigerien producers through productive solar energy. Our vision: revolutionize agricultural mechanization in Africa through solar energy.
Our purpose-built multifunction solar mills place efficiency at a premium. They are robust, built to last in the toughest Sahelian environments and powered by direct current motor technology — affordable and quickly paying for themselves, and the solar system that powers them.
DISCOVER

Innovation & Impact
For nearly a billion people living off-grid, agriculture is their primary livelihood. By linking productive agricultural machines to solar power, Sahel Électronique offers a unique solution for income generation, food processing, and access to meaningful and scalable energy.
GROWING
Sahel Électronique mills grow rural economies. They generate income, keep money in the community, improve labour efficiencies for women and provide a solar power platform for other commercial activities.
VILLAGE
Our mills deliver social change in the village. They remove the burden of manual labour and save time, especially for women and girls — a powerful tool to end energy poverty and deliver social benefits across education, health, and employment.
LIFE
Our machines are green for life. Powered by solar and built for longevity, they replace the use of diesel and offset other fossil fuels, disposable batteries and cooking fuels — saving 1.291 tons of CO₂e per day.
